I’d had an aversion to Porsche for a while. It comes with the territory when you own a TVR. A Boxster S is the sworn enemy of a TVR, just like a Spitfire and Messerschmitt, they are born to do battle. I can recall more than one occasion where I’d clocked an S badge on the rear of a Boxster and thought twice about gunning it past.

After a short distraction (VX220) I have made the transition to the dark side.

Boxster values have fallen recently and I just couldn’t ignore the value for money. For the cost of a second-hand Golf I got a 2001 Boxster S with less than 30K miles on it.

This is such a refined, smooth, comfortable sports car. It has practicality combined with performance and looks. It’s just such a nice place to be, I love driving it and can’t see me wanting anything else for a long time.
