Got the bike home yesterday, Dad and I trekked up to Derbyshire with the bike trailer. Seller was nice bloke and clearly loved the bike; I felt a bit bad about taking it of him ! I have no insurance and vapours in the tank so I’ve not been for a ride on it yet. I’ve gingerly ridden up the road at home to make sure the clutch and gears work. 1st, 2nd and 3rd work fine, I’ve not ventured near 4th. I’ve already dropped it in the garage trying to get it on the main stand and bent the brake lever; a new on is coming from eBay. It is dam heavy when it stops and a bit intimidating but once it’s rolling it feels good. It sounds fantastic when running with a nice throaty note from the 4-1 exhaust. It has also had a resent engine rebuild and it is obvious that the builder knew what he was doing. It is void of any rattles or knocks and sounds really sweet. I’m really growing to like it after my initial shock of winning it and am looking forward to some dry roads to open it up a bit.
